Réalisé par un collectif allemand ambitieux, Précambrian est un double album construit autour du thème de la création du monde, plus précisément des trois éons précédant l’éon Phanérozoïque. Évidemment vendu comme ça on n’a pas vraiment envie d’écouter, mais c’est au final l’un des disque les plus unanimement appréciés dans le monde du métal en 2007, très intéressant et stimulant pour l’amateur de doom-sludge-stoner-drone que je suis en train de devenir.
Fluxion, leur avant-avant-dernier album, est tout aussi recommandable.
C’est ce qu’on appelle du sludge metal, “a form of heavy metal music that fuses doom metal and hardcore punk, typically aggressive and abrasive, most often featuring shouted vocals, heavily distorted instruments and sharply contrasting tempos“.
